**FIR Registered Against 16 People for Resisting Police During Theft Suspects’ Arrest in Nishatpura**

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Nishatpura police have registered an FIR against 16 individuals, mostly women, for obstructing a police team attempting to arrest three theft suspects hiding in the Irani Dera area on Thursday.

A joint team of Chhattisgarh police and local officers conducted raids to apprehend theft suspects Sartaj alias Taru, Takdir, and Ghulam, who were believed to have taken shelter in Irani Dera.

According to police officials, among the 16 people named in the FIR, ten are women who actively prevented the police from entering the locality. Those named include Nobar Irani, Rabu, Kofta, Rizwan, Mehmood, Shakina, Nazi, Shama Irani, Fiza, Noori, Neetu, and others.

Police Commissioner Harinarayanchari Mishra stated that the case has been registered under sections related to hindering government work and other relevant provisions of the BNS. He added that further action will be taken against the accused soon.

Notably, on Thursday, a large group of women had surrounded the police team when they entered the locality to arrest the suspects. Taking advantage of the resulting chaos, the three theft suspects managed to escape.

Additional police forces were called in, and tension persisted for nearly an hour and a half before the situation was brought under control.
