**Tragic Accidents Claim Lives in Indore**

*Indore (Madhya Pradesh)* – Two heartbreaking incidents occurred in Indore recently, resulting in the untimely deaths of a young man and a woman.

**Man Crushed to Death Near Railway Station**

On Wednesday evening, a 28-year-old man was fatally crushed after being run over by a train near Platform No. 4 of Indore’s railway station. The impact was so severe that his body was cut into two pieces, resulting in fatal injuries.

According to Rashmi Patidar, in-charge of the GRP police station, the deceased has been identified as Ramkumar Kurmi, a native of Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh, who was residing in Nandbagh Colony, Indore. Initial investigations suggest that the incident was an accident, with Ramkumar coming into contact with a moving train.

GRP staff, including constable Chetan Narwale, promptly arrived at the scene and recovered the body. Ramkumar’s family revealed that he worked as a helper in a shop and had been living in Indore for the past two years. He is survived by his wife and a five-year-old son.

The police have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the tragedy and have conducted a post-mortem examination.

**Engineering Student Killed After Being Run Over by Truck**

In another tragic mishap on Thursday morning, a 19-year-old engineering student was run over and dragged several feet by a speeding truck on Nemawar Bridge, under Tejaji Nagar police station limits. She died on the spot due to the severity of her injuries.

The victim, identified as Lahar Shrivastava, daughter of Shashank Shrivastava from Sampat Hills, Bicholi Mardana, was pursuing engineering at Medicaps College. At around 11 am, Lahar was riding her scooter on her way to college when the accident occurred.

Eyewitnesses reported that the truck hit her from behind and dragged her across the road. Locals intervened by pulling the truck driver out of the vehicle and seizing the keys. However, the driver managed to escape by using a spare key to restart the truck amidst the crowd.

The police are actively searching for the errant driver and have sent Lahar’s body for an autopsy.

These tragic incidents serve as a grim reminder of the importance of road and rail safety in urban areas. Authorities continue to urge vigilance and caution to prevent such unfortunate events in the future.
