At around 9:30 AM, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show-2025 (UPITS-2025) at Greater Noida in the Gautam Buddha Nagar district. He will also address the gathering on this occasion, as per an official government statement.
The trade show, held from 25 to 29 September under the theme “Ultimate Sourcing Begins Here,” aims to showcase the state’s diverse craft traditions, modern industries, robust MSMEs, and emerging entrepreneurs on a unified platform.
Key sectors represented at UPITS-2025 include handicrafts, textiles, leather, agriculture, food processing, IT, electronics, and AYUSH among others. The event will also feature Uttar Pradesh’s rich art, culture, and cuisine under one roof.
**Russia as Partner Country**
Adding strategic significance, Russia will participate as the partner country at UPITS-2025. This collaboration is expected to open avenues for bilateral trade, technology exchange, and long-term cooperation.
The trade show is set to witness participation from over 2,400 exhibitors, 125,000 B2B visitors, and 450,000 B2C visitors. On 26 September, the Russia-India Business Dialogue will bring together policymakers, industrialists, financial institutions, insurance firms, and academia from both nations.
**Growth of UPITS**
Since its inception, UPITS has grown remarkably in scale and impact. The inaugural 2023 edition, opened by President Droupadi Murmu, featured 1,914 exhibitors and 400 foreign buyers. The second edition, inaugurated by then-Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, expanded to 2,122 exhibitors, 350 foreign buyers, and 500,000 visitors, generating export orders worth over ₹2,200 crore and direct sales of ₹40 crore.
**One District One Product Pavilion**
A major highlight of the trade show will be the “One District One Product” (ODOP) Pavilion, featuring 343 stalls dedicated to the signature products of each district. From Bhadohi carpets and Firozabad glasswork to Moradabad metalware and Saharanpur woodcraft, these displays will illustrate Uttar Pradesh’s craftsmanship journey from local to global.
The pavilion will also create opportunities for networking, business collaborations, and partnerships involving startups, designers, and international buyers.

**PM Modi’s Rajasthan Visit: Laying Foundation Stones and Inaugurating Development Projects**
Later in the day, Prime Minister Modi will visit Banswara, Rajasthan, to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate multiple development projects worth over ₹1,22,100 crore.
Key highlights of the Rajasthan visit include:
– **Atomic Power Project:** Laying the foundation stone of Anushakti Vidhyut Nigam Ltd’s (ASHVINI) Mahi Banswara Rajasthan Atomic Power Project (4×700 MW), valued at approximately ₹42,000 crore.
– **Green Energy Initiatives:** Inaugurating and laying foundation stones for green energy projects worth around ₹19,210 crore. This includes solar projects in Phalodi, Jaisalmer, Jalore, Sikar, among others, and the foundation stone for a solar project at Bikaner.
– **Power Transmission Projects:** Laying foundation stones for three power transmission projects totaling over ₹13,180 crore under the Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) initiative. The REZ initiative aims to develop 181.5 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030 across eight states.
– **Feeder Level Solarization:** Inaugurating Feeder Level Solarization projects totaling 3,517 MW with an investment of over ₹16,050 crore. These projects span Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka under the PM-KUSUM (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan) Scheme (Component C).
– **Infrastructure Development:** Laying the foundation stone for construction of flyovers in Bharatpur city, a bridge over the Banas River, and 116 Atal Pragati Path projects.
– **Road Connectivity:** Inaugurating multiple road projects related to National and State Highways in Barmer, Ajmer, Dungarpur districts, among others. These projects, worth over ₹2,630 crore, aim to improve regional road connectivity, ensure smoother traffic flow, and enhance road safety.
– **Flagging off Trains:** Prime Minister Modi will flag off three trains: the Vande Bharat Express between Bikaner and Delhi Cantt, the Vande Bharat Express between Jodhpur and Delhi Cantt, and the Udaipur City – Chandigarh Express. These trains are expected to significantly improve connectivity between Rajasthan and other northern states.
