How to get Night Vision Goggles – Stalker 2

One feature in **Stalker 2** that was sorely missing at launch was the presence of night vision goggles (NVGs). Thankfully, Patch 1.6 has added them to the game, along with multiple ways to acquire them. Below, we’ll cover all the known methods to get night vision goggles so far. Simply pick the option closest to your current in-game location, and you’ll have one less reason to fear the night.

## How to Get Night Vision Goggles in Stalker 2

There are four different types of night vision goggles in Stalker 2. Some are costly, others are tied to missions, and one of them might even be free if you’re lucky enough to find it. What you ultimately do depends largely on where you are in the game.

### NVG Gen 1

– **Where to Buy:** Sidorovich, the trader in the bunker at Rookie Village in Cordon.
– **Cost:** 24,250 coupons.
– **Location Details:** Rookie Village is a familiar area from previous Stalker games, situated in the south of Cordon near the wall. The bunker entrance is just on the outskirts to the east of the small village.

#### How to Get for Free:
– **Quest Reward:** Speak to Honta, a returning character from *Call of Pripyat*. He can be found southwest of the weather station in Zaton. Completing a mutant hunting quest will reward you with a free pair of Gen 1 NVGs.
– **Stash Location:** Find a free pair in the Poorly Hidden Stash at the Waste Processing Station, south of the Cement Factory in the northern section of Wild Island. Use the code **2711** to open the stash door.

### NVG Gen 2

– **Where to Buy:** Trader in Malachite.
– **Cost:** 56,250 coupons.

### NVG Gen 3A

– **Where to Buy:** Trader in Prypiat.
– **Cost:** 112,500 coupons.

### NVG Gen 3B

– **Where to Find:** Western side of Yantar, right along the lake directly south of the scientist’s bunker.
– **Stash Details:** This location features another stash with a locked door. Use the code **5578** to open it and claim the goggles.

### Additional Notes

Night vision goggles can also be found elsewhere in the game world, including in other stashes. These locations are still being discovered by players, so there may be more options available that are easier to get or less expensive.

We will update this guide as new information on NVG locations becomes available.

Equipping yourself with NVGs can make nighttime exploration much safer and more manageable. Whether you choose to buy them, earn them through missions, or search for hidden stashes, now you have multiple ways to see clearly in the dark in Stalker 2.
