Google has unveiled a new artificial intelligence (AI) tool called **Mixboard**, now available in public beta in the United States. This experimental platform allows users to create moodboards and explore design ideas, marking Google’s latest venture into design-based applications.

Mixboard is part of Google’s **Google Labs** initiative and leverages its powerful **Gemini 2.5 Flash** model for enhanced functionality. The tool offers a simple and intuitive interface where users can start projects using pre-populated board templates or text prompts.

Similar to platforms like FigJam and Adobe’s Firefly Boards, Mixboard enables users to add their own images or generate visuals by describing their ideas. For example, users can input prompts such as “show me cups, bowls, and plates in Memphis style,” or “plan an autumn party in my living room” to bring their concepts to life.

The versatility of Mixboard extends beyond just design. Users can utilize it for home decoration ideas, event planning, or simply creating collections of fun images. One standout feature is the ability to edit boards using natural language prompts, allowing for easy adjustment or combination of images.

Additionally, users can upload images as references to generate new related visuals. With convenient one-click options, images can be quickly regenerated or similar designs created, streamlining the creative process.

Google’s Mixboard aims to simplify idea visualization, giving creators and planners a powerful new tool to bring their concepts to life with ease and flexibility.
