An alert has been issued for light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning across all districts of Madhya Pradesh. Some areas may experience showers as early as Tuesday.

On Monday, the weather in several districts showcased a mix of rainfall and sunshine. In Bhopal, the day started with bright sunshine, leading to increased heat and humidity. Indore recorded nearly one inch of rainfall, while Ratlam experienced light showers.

### Current Weather Systems Affecting Madhya Pradesh

The southwest monsoon entered Madhya Pradesh on June 16. Since then, the state has received an average rainfall of 43.9 inches, surpassing the normal expected 36.5 inches for this time of year. This means Madhya Pradesh has received approximately 7.4 inches more rainfall than usual.

The normal seasonal average for Madhya Pradesh is around 37 inches, a threshold the state achieved last week itself. So far, the state has recorded 118% of its normal rainfall, indicating a better-than-average monsoon season.

– **September 24:** Thunderstorms and light rainfall are expected across all districts. An alert has been issued accordingly.
– **September 25-26:** Heavy rainfall is predicted across several districts before the monsoon withdrawal begins.
