Dulquer Salmaan, the producer of the blockbuster Malayalam film *Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra*, has put an end to the rumors about the movie’s immediate OTT release. Starring Kalyani Priyadarshan and Naslen, *Lokah* has reportedly become the highest-grossing Malayalam film, earning over ₹271 crore globally since its release on August 28.

Amid widespread speculation that *Lokah* might be released on Netflix in multiple languages soon, Dulquer Salmaan took to X (formerly Twitter) to clarify the situation. In his post, he stated:

His production house, Wayfarer Films, also shared this update across its social media channels, reinforcing that fans should await official announcements before expecting the film’s OTT debut.

*Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra* marks the beginning of an ambitious five-part franchise directed by Dominic Arun. In this first installment, Kalyani Priyadarshan portrays a yakshi/vampire named Chandra (also known as Neeli).
The upcoming parts promise to explore intriguing folklore and characters: the next film will feature Tovino Thomas as Chathan, a goblin. Meanwhile, Dulquer Salmaan is rumored to take on the role of Charlie, an odiyan or shapeshifter.
