**Indore (Madhya Pradesh): New BJP Controversy Surfaces Between MLA Ramesh Mendola and Supporter Jitu Chaudhary**
Just two days after a heated exchange between Indore-5 workers and MLA Mahendra Hardia during Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s visit to Khajrana, another controversy has emerged within the saffron party. This time, it involves Indore-2 MLA Ramesh Mendola and his long-time supporter, Jitu Chaudhary.
Jitu Chaudhary, who serves as the district coordinator of BJP’s Namami Narmada Department in Indore, took to social media to launch a strong attack on Mendola. In a sharply worded post, Chaudhary wrote:
*“I am not afraid of death… I am not afraid of anyone, even if you put me in jail … If any accident happens to me, MLA Ramesh Mendola will be solely responsible.”*
This alarming statement has sparked speculation about deepening rifts within the party in the Indore-2 assembly constituency, a seat Mendola secured with a record number of votes. While Mendola has yet to respond publicly to these allegations, Chaudhary’s comments have certainly raised eyebrows, especially considering their previous close association.
According to BJP insiders, the dispute is linked to the upcoming Garba festival scheduled at Kankeshwari Ground in Indore-2. Chaudhary alleged that while the event should be free for all, it was being commercialized with entry fees ranging from Rs 100 to Rs 1000. He further claimed that members of Mendola’s camp are behind this fee collection, condemning it as unjust for a festival meant to be accessible to people of all classes.
The controversy highlights growing tensions within the local BJP unit ahead of key community events, and it remains to be seen how the party leadership will address the issue moving forward.
