**US Revokes Visas of Indian Executives Over Fentanyl Smuggling Link**

The United States Embassy in New Delhi has revoked and denied visas to certain Indian business executives and their families due to their alleged involvement in trafficking fentanyl precursors, a highly dangerous synthetic narcotic.
“Stopping the flow of fentanyl, including its precursors, to the United States is one of our top priorities. We are grateful to our counterparts in the Government of India for their close cooperation to combat this shared challenge,” the embassy stated.
**Increased Visa Scrutiny for Executives**
The US Embassy has also issued a warning that executives of companies accused of involvement in fentanyl precursor trafficking will face heightened visa scrutiny moving forward.
Charge d’affaires Jorgan Andrews emphasized, “Individuals and organizations involved in the illegal production and trafficking of drugs to the United States, along with their families, will face consequences that may include being denied access to the United States.”
**Trump’s List of 23 Nations**
This action comes shortly after former President Donald Trump issued a warning targeting countries involved in widespread drug trafficking, naming India among 23 nations on the so-called “Major’s List.” In a “Presidential Determination” submitted to Congress, Trump identified these countries as either primary sources or significant transit locations for illicit drugs entering the US.
**Trump’s Warning on Narcotics**
Trump cautioned that these countries, by producing or facilitating the circulation of illegal narcotics and precursor chemicals, pose a threat to the safety of the United States and its residents. He specifically singled out China as the “world’s largest source” of precursor chemicals used in fentanyl production, accusing Beijing of reluctance to restrict exports of these compounds. According to Trump, this has contributed to the surge in fentanyl trafficking through Mexico and into the United States.
